About Marcelo's
We started Marcelo's in 2015 out of the SE Heights — 87108, off California Street. The first work was yard maintenance for neighbors. Mowing, trimming, leaf blowing, the kind of route work that builds steady because people see it and call.
What changed is the scope. Most lawn guys won't touch a wood fence. Most fence guys won't run a drip line. Most tile setters won't patch the drywall above the new backsplash. We learned all of it because the same houses kept asking — the side gate that needs replacing, the swamp cooler that needs pulled and serviced, the bathroom floor that needs re-tiled before the carpet goes back in the hall.
So now the same phone call covers a lot of ground. Front yard out, drywall patch in, fence repair this weekend. Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Corrales — wherever the work is, we show up when we say we will, finish clean, and don't dress it up more than it is.
If the work is honest, we'll do it. Lawn, fence, tile, sprinkler. One phone call.

The wedge — what makes Marcelo's different
Most operators draw a hard line at the door. We don't. Here's what the truck shows up with.
Outside
Mow, trim, prune, blow. Sprinklers and drip. Wood fence repair.
Front and back yards, every week or every two. Xeriscape gravel beds kept tidy. Sprinkler heads diagnosed one valve at a time. Cedar and pine fence panels and posts.
Inside
Tile floor, backsplash, grout. Drywall patch. Swamp-cooler service.
Small bathrooms, kitchen backsplash, mudroom floors. Doorknob blowouts and water stains patched and textured. Evaporative cooler startup in April, cover in October.
One phone call. (505) 514-2158.
What we do — Albuquerque + Rio Rancho
Every one of these is something the route has already done this year. No padding, no upsell.
Weekly or biweekly route work. Mow, edge, trim, blow — fescue lawns, native grass, and xeriscape gravel beds. Front and back.
Shrub shaping, dead-wooding, late-winter prune on Russian sage, chamisa, Apache plume. Crepe-myrtle and desert willow done right.
Fall cottonwood cleanup along the Bosque corridor. Post-monsoon debris clears anywhere in the metro.
Spring + fall feed schedule for cool-season lawns. Soil-appropriate amendments — Bernalillo County soil is not Midwest soil.
Drip line repair, sprinkler head replacement, valve diagnosis, spring startup and fall blowout. Backflow checks where required.
Cedar and pine fence repair, panel and post replacement, gate rehang. We patch sections — not just full rebuilds.
Floor and backsplash tile — thinset, grout, sealer. Small bathrooms, kitchen splash, mudroom floors.
Small holes, doorknob blowouts, water-stain cuts, settling cracks. Match texture before paint.
Spring startup, pad replacement, pull-and-cover in October. Albuquerque summer is what these are built for.
The smaller calls — carpet swaps, door fit, the move-out clean. We round out the scope when the bigger job needs it.
How a job goes
Tell us the address and what you see — overgrown side yard, broken sprinkler valve, a fence panel down. Five minutes is enough.
We come out, walk the property, ask the questions that change the price. Free, no obligation.
One page, broken out by line item. Outside work, inside work, fence work — itemized. No surprise add-ons later.
We pick a window with you. Most yard work lands within a week. Interior fixes the same week, longer for full tile floors.
We don't leave until you've looked at it. Quick punch-list pass, then we square the invoice.
That’s it. No portals, no logins — a phone call or an email is all it takes.
Where Marcelo works
Home base is SE Heights, 87108. We run the whole metro — over the river to Rio Rancho, north to Corrales, east up to the Foothills.
Bernalillo plus Sandoval County. We don't run east of the East Mountains and we don't take Santa Fe drives — keeps response time tight when a sprinkler line blows on a Saturday. Call (505) 514-2158.
On the route

What neighbors say — Albuquerque, NM
Marcelo and the crew finished eight hours of yard work that was going to take us a week. Left the lawn well groomed, hauled everything off.
Quick to respond, courteous, professional, very capable. Fair prices and good customer relations — we'll call him again.
Marcelo listened carefully to what we needed and took care of it quickly. We had drywall and a sprinkler valve — one call, both done.
Front and back yards — thorough weeding, mowed, blown clean. Fair price and the yard looked immaculate.
Straightforward, well-planned. We had a tired yard and no budget for the big landscape companies — Marcelo got it neat and livable.
Showed up when he said. Patched the drywall, painted to match, and didn't leave drywall dust behind. Rare.
How Marcelo sequences the year
Different priorities, different seasons. Here's how we sequence the work across zone 7a — sprinklers in spring, mowing through summer, leaves in fall, interior fixes through winter.
Spring · Mar–May
Sprinkler startup. Drip-line repair. Spring feed.
Charge the system. Walk every head. Patch the drip line the freeze cracked. Pre-emergent and a light feed before the heat lands. Backflow checks where the county asks.
Summer · Jun–Aug
Mowing route. Trimming. Monsoon cleanup.
Weekly and biweekly mow. Trim the chamisa, the Russian sage, the Apache plume. Same-week storm cleanup when the July afternoons hit the foothills.
Fall · Sep–Nov
Cottonwood leaves. Fall feed. Cooler-pull.
Bosque cottonwood leaf load is real. We blow, rake, and haul. Late-fall pull and cover on the evaporative cooler before first freeze. Last mow of the year.
Winter · Dec–Feb
Interior work. Fence repair. Tile, drywall, patch.
This is when the inside calls come in. Bathroom tile, kitchen backsplash, drywall patch and texture, fence panels and posts replaced before spring.
Whatever season it is, the call is the same. (505) 514-2158.
Honest pricing
Standard front-and-back lawn mow, edge, blow starts at $45. Sprinkler repairs from $85. Fence-panel replacement and tile/drywall priced on the walk — we don't quote interior work sight-unseen.
